Aftercare & Warranty

Every bathroom I install comes with a 12-month workmanship guarantee as standard. For clients who want longer cover or ongoing maintenance, I offer two optional aftercare services — an Aftercare Membership and an Extended Workmanship Warranty. Both are available only for bathrooms I've installed.

Aftercare Membership

A bathroom that’s looked after lasts longer and stays looking its best. The Aftercare Membership is an annual Health Check visit designed to catch small issues before they become big ones — a fresh seal here, a tightened fitting there, a quick check of all the moving parts.

What’s included

Each year, on a date that suits you, I’ll visit and carry out:

  • A silicone reseal check — inspecting the seals around the bath, shower, and basin, and resealing where needed
  • A plumbing health check — traps, valves, and visible pipework checked for leaks or deterioration
  • A loose fittings check — taps, shower fittings, and fixings inspected and tightened where needed
  • Servicing of the WC flush mechanism — checked and adjusted where needed

You also get priority scheduling for any additional works or call-outs throughout the year.

Pricing

  • 1 bathroom: £20 per month
  • 2 bathrooms: £35 per month
  • 3 or more rooms: add £15 per month for each room beyond 2

Payment is by Standing Order. I’ll send you the bank details once you’ve signed up. Your price is fixed for the first 12 months, and any change after that needs 30 days’ written notice from me.

How it works

The membership runs on a monthly Standing Order with no minimum term — cancel any time with 30 days’ written notice.

Your first Health Check is booked roughly 12 months after your bathroom is finished, with the exact date confirmed closer to the time. You’ll get a reminder from me each year to arrange the next one at a time that suits you.

What’s not included

The Health Check is a maintenance visit, so it doesn’t cover:

  • Major repairs or replacement of damaged fittings, sanitaryware, or fixtures
  • Blockages or damage caused by misuse, foreign objects, or limescale neglect
  • Accidental damage or damage caused by anyone else
  • Replacement of major parts like shower valves, tap bodies, or flush systems
  • Decorating, retiling, or any cosmetic restoration
  • Work outside the scope of the original installation

If I spot something during the visit that needs more than a maintenance fix, I’ll talk you through it and give you a separate quote at my standard rate. Nothing extra gets done without your say-so.

Standard 12-Month Workmanship Guarantee

Every bathroom I install comes with a 12-month workmanship guarantee, included in the price of your project. Your guarantee starts on the date your installation is practically complete.

If anything goes wrong with the workmanship in those first 12 months — a leak from a pipe joint I made, tiles coming loose, silicone failing, or anything else traceable to the install — I’ll come back and put it right. No labour charge, no call-out fee.

This covers the work I’ve carried out. Manufacturer faults on the products themselves are handled under the relevant manufacturer warranty, which I’ll point you to if needed.

Extended Workmanship Warranty

If you’d like longer-term peace of mind, the Extended Workmanship Warranty doubles your cover from 12 months to 24 months from the date of practical completion.

It’s a one-off payment of £450, added to your project invoice when you accept your quote. If you’d prefer to spread the cost over a small number of instalments, just say — I’m happy to arrange that.

What’s covered

  • Pipework and waste connections — leaks or failures traceable to the original install
  • Structural preparation — subfloor work, noggins, and boarding I’ve carried out
  • Tiling — tile movement, debonding, or grout failure caused by workmanship
  • Silicone seals — where failure is down to the original application
  • Shower valves and fittings I’ve installed — installation integrity only

How it works

  1. Let me know you’d like to add it when you accept your quote, and I’ll include it on your invoice.
  2. Your 24-month warranty period starts on the date of practical completion.
  3. If a workmanship issue comes up in year two, get in touch and I’ll arrange a return visit.
  4. No labour charge, no call-out fee — just the priority service the warranty covers.

What’s not covered

This is a workmanship warranty, so it doesn’t cover:

  • Manufacturer faults or product failures — these stay under the manufacturer’s own warranty
  • General wear and tear from normal use
  • Accidental damage caused by you or anyone else
  • Issues caused by missed routine maintenance
  • Any work carried out by other tradespeople after I’ve finished
